Jordana Ballesteros (she, her, hers)
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
I am a co-owner of Clear Sky Counseling Services, PLLC. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor based in Northern Illinois. As a proud member of the Latin Community, I bring over a decade of experience working with court and non-court-involved clients. This has led me to provide counseling services to a diverse clientele. Fluent in English and Spanish, I am committed to breaking down cultural stigmas and fostering understanding across various cultural backgrounds. I have worked with adolescents and adults, ages 13 and above.
My approach to therapy is rooted in a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals from different nationalities, guided by the belief that effective counseling must be culturally responsive and inclusive. I specialize in helping clients navigate complex issues such as bullying, mental health struggles, addiction, and violence by employing a compassionate, client-centered approach to therapy. I utilize various therapeutic techniques as part of our road map. These techniques include reflective work such as journaling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Attachment Theory, and the Strength-Based model.
I am dedicated to empowering you by providing a supportive and safe environment. I am passionate about advancing the mental health field and continue to advocate for the importance of specialized therapeutic services within the justice system and beyond.
