Mary Catherine Navarro (she, her, hers)

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a diverse background in hospitals, schools, and private practice. I have honed my skills in providing therapeutic support to individuals from all walks of life. I am also a dedicated Oncology and Hematology Social Worker at Northwestern Medicine Cancer Center.

I have extensive experience in helping individuals who are navigating various challenges in their lives. I am adept at working with those managing multiple life stressors, grappling with anxiety and/or depression, suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder, coping with cancer or other health diagnoses, processing childhood traumas, and dealing with terminal illnesses. Additionally, I am skilled at creating a safe and supportive space for school-age children, empowering them to manage their emotions and develop essential coping mechanisms effectively.

My therapeutic approach is an individualized treatment plan. I have a collaborative and eclectic treatment approach, which includes Mindfulness-based treatment, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Exposure Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I view therapy as a collaborative journey, and I am dedicated to helping you tap into your inner strength and wisdom.
