Theresa Claton (she, her, hers)

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)

I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor working with children, teens, and young adults as they navigate the unique challenges of growing up in today’s world. Whether anxiety, school stress, self-esteem struggles, identity exploration, or family dynamics, I provide a warm, supportive space where young people feel safe, seen, and understood.

I utilize a trauma-informed, relational approach, drawing from evidence-based methods such as Play and Art Therapy, Mindfulness, Brainspotting, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Safe and Sound Protocol, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Biofeedback, and Strengths-based interventions. Recognizing each client’s unique needs, I provide supportive listening, practical coping strategies, or assistance processing significant emotions. I also collaborate with caregivers as appropriate and am fluent in English and Spanish.

I have worked with clients across various experiences, always honoring their individuality, creativity, and potential. I aim to empower every young person I work with to build confidence, resilience, and a stronger sense of self.

If you’re looking for therapy that feels grounded, affirming, and age-appropriate, I’m here to help. I work with diverse clients, valuing their unique qualities, creativity, and inherent possibilities. I aim to support each young person in developing self-assurance, inner strength, and a more robust identity.
